Why don’t you take insurance?
While I have tried taking insurance in the past, I have finally decided not to participate in insurance due to a couple of reasons. The reimbursement rate is extremely low and insurance companies often require certain justifications and requirements that interfere with my recommended treatment. Ultimately I found the logistics of dealing with insurance to be a major impediment, time which I feel is better spent providing superior care for my clientele. I am, however, always happy to provide Superbills to clients who wish to submit to insurance, but cannot guarantee reimbursement.
How long are sessions?
Sessions are typically 50 minutes. If you wish to have shorter or longer sessions we can discuss options.
What can I expect?
During our first session we will get to know one another. I will also collect a lot of information in an effort to work on getting to the root of the issue, not just working on the surface. Together we will work on a course of action, goals and ways to get you to where you would like to be. In the beginning, it is best to meet once a week and once progress is beginning to be made sessions will be decreased. My ultimate goal is for you to walk away from therapy and to have met your goals, obtained coping strategies and to be able to live your life to its fullest potential.
